M2 PRESSWIRE-3 December 2004-Peppercorn: Peppercorn and Memory Concepts are "keeping minds fit"(C)1994-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
RDATE:12032004
Peppercorn, one of the UK's leading web design agency's, has developed Internet-based memory fitness exercises for individuals working to keep their minds fit. Peppercorn was commissioned by Memory Concepts, a New York-based company that specialises in web-based mental fitness resources, to build a suite of exercises using Macromedia Flash MX. The exercises are featured in an MSNBC.com [http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6290906/] article about Memory Fitness and have previously been featured in the New York Times and mentioned in the Wall Street Journal.
Marcus Sen, Director of Peppercorn says, "When Memory Concepts first approached us with this idea, we were keen to help the company with a solution that was both user friendly and science-based. Our experience in creating web-based modules for organisations such as Jaguar, Ladbrokes, and BP helped us design a dynamic set of 20 exercises that allows Memory Concepts to change the content themselves very frequently rather than having to use a web designer to change it for them."
"We conducted extensive tests using Flash to ensure that the solution was efficient, taking all the variables into account, such as the different answers and possible spelling variations to the questions. Memory Concepts can easily modify the configuration files and JPEGs to incorporate fresh content."
Scott C. Sanchez, Chief Information Officer at Memory Concepts adds, "After an extensive search, we turned to Peppercorn to help us develop the web-based exercises that serve as the core of our memory fitness program. We pushed Flash to its limits with some of our memory exercises, and Peppercorn did the research and put in the time to make it happen on schedule."
"Peppercorn successfully designed a solution that was not only cost effective to Memory Concepts, but also helped us offer our clients a valuable resource designed to help them increase brain capacity. The exercises are part of a complete database-driven system that allows the user to track their progress over time, which is important for keeping people motivated.
Furthermore, by allowing us to dynamically change the content within the exercises, we are able to keep the content fresh and keep our clients engaged."
