Vic:Andrews endorsed as oppn leader=3

Mr Brumby spoke briefly on his way into the meeting.

"I'm looking forward to the meeting actually," he told reporters outside the opposition
meeting room in Parliament House.

"I'll give a report (on the election), but today is really about the new leader."

Mr Andrews said he would speak to the media after the meeting.

The meeting was originally scheduled for 10am (AEDT) but didn't get under way until
just before 10.40am.

Cheers and clapping could be heard inside the meeting shortly after the doors closed.
