Oct. 31--South Carolina is always in the red or Republican column in national elections, but some people are hedging their bets with the possibility the state just might support Barack Obama next Tuesday, Democratic U.S. Rep. James Clyburn said Thursday. "People are looking for us Democrats to move the country in a different direction," the First Congressional District representative said. "This country is on the wrong track, and we must do what we can to get it back. We watch the news and listen to the debates.
